Introduction to Careers Centre Expectations
Jo came into our lecture to talk to us about the careers centre development day at Watford. She also showed us the assessment centre briefing video which I found very informative. We are expected create a CV and Cover Letter for a job that is advertised. Although I already have a CV this will be beneficial as this will give me the ability to tailor different roles to my already existing skills and experience. I haven’t had much experience writing cover letters so this will be good practice. I am looking forward to the team aspect of the group interviews as I haven’t applied to any positions which have required a group interview. Therefore this will be useful to learn. Jo mentioned that we will get feedback on our individual interviews. This will be an excellent opportunity to improve my interview technique and am really looking forward to this career focused day.
