Independent CV Research: 50 inspiring resume designs: And what you can learn from them

Image
There was a lot of helpful design tips in this article. I liked Micheal Long's CV because it's minimalistic but effective at showing key information. I also like the idea of adding a sidebar as this will automatically draw your eye to the most important parts of the CV. I also really liked Milena Filipova's CV. The accented colours are really bold, and the CV itself gives off a very clean/fresh look. I also really love the layout! After looking through Loann's page, I found that he had liked an instructable from 2 years ago about Digital Business Cards using NFC. "Ogilvy is a New York City-based British advertising, marketing and public relations agency. It started as a London advertising agency founded in 1850 by Edmund Mather, which in 1964 became known as Ogilvy & Mather after merging with a New York City agency that was founded in 1948 by David Ogilvy. It is part of the WPP Group, which is by revenue one of the largest marketing and communications companies in the world. The agency is known for its work with Dove, American Express, and IBM." (Wikipedia, 2018) I really like the 'Type with Pride' project that Ogilvy advertised. It was a really nice gesture for Gilbert Baker (The creator of the LGBTQ rainbow flag) to name the font after him after he passed away in 2017. I found it interesting that this is the first font that c...
