Independent Learning Journey: Creative Edge Event
I decided to attend the Creative Edge event held at the forum at 13:00. The event gave me the opportunity to meet and practice speaking with employers in a more comfortable environment. It was set up so that we spent seven minutes talking to employers at each table then moved to another table after this time like speed dating. This method was helpful as it made me feel more confident when talking to employers about myself. I was able to ask about potential internship positions and work experience placements at each company as gaining experience is important in this industry. Nearing the end of this 'speed dating' event I met again with Micheal Storey who is the Head of Creative & Branding at Ocado who we are creating a motion graphic for - during the Ocado live brief. After the event was over, I was able to speak more about work experience and was offered two weeks to work with Ocado in January! I am over-the-moon! Later on, we connected on LinkedIn. I rec
