Latest News Implementation & Design Decisions


  • Header image changed to gradiented image to add branding consistency using Ramsay Safety Solutions' colour palette. 
  • Navigation bar changed as mentioned previously for clarity.
  • Photographic imagery used as mentioned previously to add branding consistency using Ramsay Safety Solutions' colour palette with the day and month of each published post added to each image.
  • Instead of continuing the post icons on one page (as this would become lengthy), I decided to create more latest news main pages to improve interactivity and less scrolling for older posts. I deicded to use a maximum of twelve posts per latest news page, otherwise the user may loose interest quickly if they have to continue scrolling down a page.
  • Blue tint used on header images for individual latest news posts, photograph used is the same as the image used on the latest news main page to add consistency and related to the blog post specifically.
  • Image removed from each individual post, as this image was added as the post's header image instead. This adds clarity to the infomation in the post, making it easier to read and reduces scrolling.
  • Map removed as mentioned previously as it didn't add any extra value and felt unnecessary to have a map at the bottom of every webpage.

Finished game displayed in the scene view. Scene view Assets Uses Rigidbody so that the ball can use physics (Gravity) therefore it doesn't fall through the ground. [Research] Traditional Poster Design (4CTA1214)

As you can see from the superman poster, there are only four main colours used which includes red, blue, yellow and brown. All elements are filled in with block colours with no shading which was a common colour theme for traditional posters of this kind. This poster may have been used to advertise a new Superman comic or movie depending on the year it was created. The expression on the characters face fits the title shown on the poster explaining that he is returning. This poster advertised Coca Cola, and looks as though this specific poster was used in the USA - due to the currency used. The whole aim of the poster is to incorporate this drink into working peoples daily lives. This is seen by the slogan, 'Work refreshed' and the small graphics on the bottom right of the poster. Evaluation: Flash Project

I believe that my project went very well, I had good time management skills which allowed me to complete my project to a high standard. Overall, I am pleased with my result however there were some compromises that I had to take in order to finish the project in the time frame given. These included: Adding sound to the scenes that included the phone and school bell ringing as this would have made the project more life-like Hacking my mouse so that I could use a different object or button to navigate through my scenes instead of my standard mouse (This idea was mentioned in my concept sketch/idea) Animating the speech bubbles so that they are not just static graphics and are more interesting -drawing the users attention to the story-line Having different types of navigation (I added a couple of types but more could have been done to make my project interactive)
