Collaborating with Slack
I have decided to work with Anja for the Ocado Live Brief project.
We are using Slack to communicate as this platform is used in a professional setting. We decided against using social media as these platforms aren't industry standard and the chat feature can make it difficult to communicate in an organised manner. For example if Anja sent me a file to look at on WhatsApp, this can become lost in the conversation however on Slack we could integrate Google Drive or OneDrive to store documents to view at anytime.
What I like about Slack:

What I like about Slack:
- How you can integrate specific apps e.g. Google Maps, Trello etc. as this adds a new dimension to collaboration.
- Adding channels so you can section off different parts of your project or if used in a larger organisation you could create separate channels for different projects/departments.
- It's easy to direct message a team member.
- Voice and video calling within Slack as well as screen sharing.
I had a read of the article named, "27 Productivity Tips and Hacks Every Slack User Should Know" found at: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/slack-tips/ which showed me the main features that slack had to offer. I especially liked the surprise me button found in my preferences in the advanced options.
